Marlians is a place to show how you really feel about a moment, with more shape than a like. You take a side or sit on the fence, say how strongly and how surely you feel it, and the crowd's true sentiment becomes visible. The rich reactions are always free.
On versus moments you can put weight behind your read. A conviction pool lets you back the side you believe the crowd will stand with. A call lets you say where the crowd's read will land: one side, the other, or too close to call.
There is no house, no bookmaker and no line set against you. Everyone who backs a read puts into the same shared pool, and the result is decided by the crowd's own final sentiment on Marlians, not by an outside event or by chance. Being early and right is rewarded; being wrong means your backing goes to the people who read it right.
Marlians keeps 3% of the backing on the losing side of a settled pool. That fee is shared with the people who invited the players, with verified figures who claimed their page, and with the weekly community pool for top readers.
A versus moment settles once no one has read it for 24 hours. The side with more backers is the crowd's read. If the split is within five points of even, the crowd's read is too close to call, and the calls that said so are the ones that win.
Payouts are weighted by how much you backed and how early you backed it. If you think a moment settled wrong, you can dispute it from its page within 7 days, and a person reviews every dispute.
Signing in creates a wallet on Base that belongs to you, and you can export its private key from your wallet page at any time. Marlians never sees that key.
Your Marlians balance is different. Money you add to it is held by Marlians in a treasury wallet on Base and tracked on our ledger, so small actions can happen instantly without network fees. You can withdraw it back to your own wallet whenever you like. Withdrawals are reviewed and may take time, and we may ask for identity checks on larger amounts. Marlians is not a bank, and balances are not insured.
You must be at least 18. You are responsible for following the laws where you live, and you should not add money to Marlians if putting value behind a view is restricted where you are. We may limit features in some places.
Nothing here is financial advice or a promise of profit. You can lose what you back. Digital dollars and networks carry their own risks. Only use money you can afford to lose, and act on your own judgement.
Strong opinions are welcome. Slurs, threats, sharing someone's private details, sexual content about real people, and scams are not. An automated screener and our team may hide content that crosses those lines. If yours is hidden and you think that is wrong, ask for another look from your profile.
Summaries and visuals made with AI can be wrong. AI visuals on Marlians are stylized and never depict real people's faces.
We keep what the product needs: your sign-in email or wallet address through our login provider, your name and handle, and what you do here. Your reactions, positions and comments are public by design, because a visible track record is the point.
We run our own simple analytics and do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. If you turn on notifications we store what is needed to send them. To delete your account, contact us and we will remove your personal details; public positions may remain in anonymous form so the crowd's history stays honest.
As Marlians grows, these terms will too. When something important changes we will say so in the app. Using Marlians after a change means you accept the updated terms.
